Well as we all know, Gold Motel has been a tad quiet right now. The members are doing other things for now, including Greta recording new music with The Hush Sound.
So I just wanted to let y’all know what Dan was up to recently as well….
There is a band from Chicago called “The Early Meadows,” and Dan was kind enough to play drums on one of their songs. The track also features Chris Faller playing bass!
So I just wanted to send y’all in their way. The band is REALLY great and I think we can all expect really big things out of them!

Hey guys....
First off, I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving if you’re in the states…I know I’ve been a tad absent but as GM is on the quiet side right now it means not much to post!
Now I got a submission this morning and I deleted it but I wanna go over the submission rules again.
You are free to submit anything that is directly related to Gold Motel…..your concert photos, pictures of you with the band, anything..so long as it is not a PERSONAL photo of the band. I’m friends with all of the members, past and present, on facebook and I’ll know if you lifted something from their personal page and shared it here. I’m very big on keeping the privacy of the band to the band….The whole group has been so good to me and they are so good to their fans, so we really need to show that same love and respect to them. On that same line remember, if you ask any personal questions or anything that I may or may not know the answer to, I retain the right to NOT answer them. It falls under that whole respecting the band’s privacy thing, okay?

Greta sent me an e-mailed me last weekend just to follow up on the questionnaire for the Song For You so they should be done really soon or at least I hope so~
Has anyone got their "Song for You" from the band yet? What do they sound like?

So... when you say keep the ask box open for the giveaway... does that mean anon on?... If not... I didn't even know you could turn the ask box off. o_O
Well people can disable their ask box…basically when the winners are picked I will contact them via their ask box, so it would be silly if you want to win and have it so I can not send you a ask…

I had been thinking that I hadn’t done a contest in FOREVER and with the Gold Motel show approaching in my life, it seemed as good a time as any to do it…
So I made some arrangements and I got my hands on some things at the show last night to give away for y’all! For this contest there will be TWO winners which will be picked at random with an online number generator.
The first winner picked will win:
An autographed copy of Gold Motel’s new self titled album! As you can see in the picture, this is signed by Greta, Dan, Eric, and two of their touring members.
The second winner will receive:
This poster that was autographed by the band and the boys who played with them at the show.

Word on the street right now is Chris was just filling in on that show. Minxy may be back but it sounds like Brien is staying as the drummer. Chris is still in Company of Thieves!
This is what I’ve heard from people who were at Summerfest. I see GM in three weeks and when I do I am going to see what I can get in the way of an official word on the lineup of GM.
